The Galaxy S25 update rolling out with Samsung’s June 2026 Android security patch is more interesting than a normal monthly release. According to GSMArena, Samsung is using the update to bring several Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S25 series that were previously missing from the stable One UI 8.5 build.
The features were introduced with the Galaxy S26 lineup, but they did not arrive when the Galaxy S25 series received One UI 8.5 earlier. That made the older flagship line feel oddly incomplete for users expecting Samsung’s latest AI tools to carry backward quickly.

The new Galaxy AI additions include Prioritize Notifications, Summarize Notifications, also referred to as Notification Highlights, and File Summaries. Prioritize Notifications is designed to surface important alerts first, using Galaxy AI to evaluate notification content and user-related context so important items are less likely to be buried.

Notification summaries should make long alert stacks easier to scan, while File Summaries can help users understand documents without opening or reading everything manually. These are not flashy camera features, but they are exactly the kind of practical AI tools that can make a daily-use phone feel smarter.
The firmware version listed by GSMArena is S93xNKSUACZF1, and the download is around 900MB. The rollout is currently happening in South Korea, with other markets expected to follow later. Galaxy S25 owners in South Korea can check manually through Settings, then Software update.
Samsung’s timing is notable because One UI 8.5 already arrived for the Galaxy S25 and S24 series, while One UI 9 testing is also underway. This patch shows that Samsung can still use monthly security releases to backfill AI features instead of waiting for a full platform update.
