The Galaxy S27 Pro is starting to look like Samsung’s answer to users who want Ultra-level hardware without carrying the biggest phone in the lineup. The latest Android Police report highlights a new leak around battery capacity, while Android Authority lists several supporting rumored specs.
The headline claim is a 5,000mAh battery paired with a 6.5-inch display. That capacity is not unusual for Samsung flagships, but the combination is interesting because the screen would be smaller than an Ultra-class panel. A smaller display with the same battery size can translate into stronger real-world endurance if Samsung also improves chip efficiency.
Galaxy S27 Pro could become a smaller Ultra
The rumored display size would place the Galaxy S27 Pro between the standard Galaxy S27 and the larger Galaxy S27 Ultra. Previous reports have suggested Samsung may use a four-model Galaxy S27 lineup, with the Pro model acting as a high-end option for buyers who do not want the size or S Pen of the Ultra.
Other tipped specs make the positioning clearer. The phone could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Camera rumors point to a 200MP main sensor, 50MP ultrawide camera, 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 12MP selfie camera.
Connectivity and charging also look premium on paper. The leak points to Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, NFC, USB 3.2 Type-C, and 60W wired charging. The missing S Pen would be a deliberate difference from the Ultra, but it could also free internal space for battery and camera hardware.
Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy S27 Pro, and the S27 family is still far from launch. Still, if this leak is accurate, Samsung may finally offer a more compact flagship that competes more directly with Apple’s Pro-sized iPhones rather than forcing Android buyers into the largest Ultra model.
